Exam format

How LanguageCert International ESOL is structured

Shown here for the B2 Communicator level (Luminari's most commonly requested level) — a written exam plus a separate speaking exam.

Listening	30 min	Part of the written exam, testing comprehension of spoken English
Reading & Writing	2 hr 10 min	Uninterrupted paper combining multiple-choice reading questions with written responses
Speaking	13 min	Face-to-face or online with a live examiner, across 4 parts: personal exchange, situational response, collaborative discussion, and an individual topic presentation

Format note: Reading/Writing/Listening and Speaking can be taken together as a full four-skills qualification, or booked independently. Results are typically released within 3–10 business days depending on how you sit the exam.
